2 Corinthians 7:10

For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret , whereas worldly grief produces death .

Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.

For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of : but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
