Acts 5:40

and when they had called in the apostles , they beat them and charged them not to speak in the name of Jesus , and let them go .

His speech persuaded them. They called the apostles in and had them flogged. Then they ordered them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.

And to him they agreed : and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them , they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.
