James 5:17

Elijah was a man with a nature like ours , and he prayed fervently that it might not rain , and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth .

Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years.

Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain : and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
