Luke 10:25

And behold , a lawyer stood up to put him to the test , saying , Teacher , what shall I do to inherit eternal life ?

On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
