Luke 11:1

Now Jesus was praying in a certain place , and when he finished , one of his disciples said to him , Lord , teach us to pray , as John taught his disciples .

One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”

And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.
