Proverbs 13:24

Whoever spares the rod hates his son , but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him.

Whoever spares the rod hates their children, but the one who loves their children is careful to discipline them.

He that spareth his rod hateth his son : but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.
