1 I Have Calmed and Quieted My Soul A Song of Ascents . Of David . O Lord , my heart is not lifted up ; my eyes are not raised too high; I do not occupy myself with things too great and too marvelous for me.
2 But I have calmed and quieted my soul , like a weaned child with its mother ; like a weaned child is my soul within me.
3 O Israel , hope in the Lord from this time forth and forevermore .
NIV
1 My heart is not proud, Lord, my eyes are not haughty; I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me.
2 But I have calmed and quieted myself, I am like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child I am content.
3 Israel, put your hope in the Lord both now and forevermore.
KJV
1 Lord, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty : neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.
2 Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother : my soul is even as a weaned child.
3 Let Israel hope in the Lord from henceforth and for ever. Psalm 130 Books Psalm 132
